Flatpack Assembly Service

Can anyone recommend a person/service to assemble some flatpack goods. I'm looking for a cot and a chest of drawers to be assembled at a reasonable enough price. I'm not good at doing this kind of thing myself. I have seen some companies advertised when I google this but would love a recommendation from someone if possible.

Surely a local handyman would be the cheapest option.

Is there no one living close by you could ask (I would have no problem
doing this for someone who lived near me if asked for a favor)

I can't resist posting this website [broken link removed] which I came across today although I didn't use their service. They charge 30 euros per item.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for responses. Unfortunately i don't know a local handyman or anyone living nearby that I could ask so I have to resort to this. The first company seem to only assemble Ikea pieces but the second company sound promising. Thanks.

lou2 - the one thing I would praise IKEA for above all else is how easy it is to assemble their furniture.

Why not buy something small and have a go yourself, the more you do the easier you will find it.

The pieces are not Ikea pieces. Also, they require two-person assembly so it wouldn't be an option. But really...you have no idea how bad at this kind of thing I am...I always end up with pieces left over that shouldn't be!

I have never had a problem assembling anything from IKEA. If you follow the instructions carefully you can't go wrong. To find a local handyman, ask friends or neighbours, look up the small ads in the local newspaper or try the noticeboard at shopping centers.

Sorry, was mixing this up with another post where someone was asking about IKEA assembly.

Try Des McAuley 085 7538915. He's done a lot of handyman work for me over the past few years. He also does van deliveries.

As far as flat pack furniture goes, Ikea has to be the easiest I have ever come across, If you can read and count, you wont have any problems with it, or parts left over. Give it a go..
