Flat roof v Apex Roof - cost?

Hi all,

I am just starting the process of getting an extension built (had our first meeting with the architect).

I was wondering if anyone could tell me which would be cheaper, and is there much difference in the cost of the following:

A Flat Roof (with fibreglass and a roof light)

or

An Apex pitched tiled roof with 4 velux windows


The extension will be 25 sq meters.

I would think that the tiled roof would be much more expensive, and well worth every penny.

Flat roof over 25% of your floor space will give you insurance issues too.
