flat roof insulation

Hello all,
New here and still finding my way around ......
I'm currently in the process of renovating an old laborer's cottage built in the 1920-30's. There are two kinds of roofs. A pitched slated roof and an extension with a felted flat roof. The felt looks worn but joists are OK. My aim is to improve the insulation of the house overall, beginning with the flat roof. I am thinking of installing a 'Warm roof' insulation with VPL, 100-150mm of PIR thermal insulation or xtratherm, finished with either Paralon waterproofing surface or fibreglass. My question is: will this give be the best u-values for a roof of this kind? Has anyone had either type of insulation boards installed on their flat roof with good results? Did the roofer/builder provide you with a guarantee for both materials and work and for what duration?
Thanks for taking time to read. I look forward to all your replies.
V.
