My wife purchased a new car battery for her car. Less than a year later it has gone flat. When she went to make a claim from the garage where she purchased her battery they wanted to know her Chassis no., Registration no. and car mileage? Is this normal procedure?
I suppose if they were making a claim for a faulty battery from the manufacturers, it would need to be properly logged for quality reasons - taking details like mileage/reg. would maybe help prevent fraudulent claims being made by garage employees? Just a guess though...
