I'm wondering- received lease agreement for a property I plan on renting and they have stated in the lease that we must 'pay promptly to the authorities (inc local authority charges) any charges imposed after the date of agreement (even if novel in nature). I assume this means we pay water rates if introduced! But what about property tax?
Secondly the lease states we may not sub let the property without the landlords written consent and we must pay for the cost of her making this decision whether consent is given or not. This together with other statements like: 'we must pay and compensate the landlord fully for any breach of agreement' and 'the tenant is responsible for the payment of the agreed rental amount for the entire agreed term' make me wonder if we could in the future, if required, sub let the property as I thought we could legally do...and in fact break contract if denied the faciity to sublet.
Can anybody clarify these two points for me? Thanks
