fis entitlement & btscfa allowance

over the past 2 months my husbands salary has been decreasing, and i think we are entitled to claim fis, and back to school allowance.

we have 4 children and the threshold is €800 and his net income is less than that at present. his salary is our only income.

however there would have been some weeks on and off earlier in the year where he earned more money with overtime, and i am wondering will this affect his entitlement to it.

also it asks for last 4 payslips etc , and 2 of his recent ones were his summer holiday is that ok to use as he genuinely had weeks holidays to use?

the reason why i ask is that im keen to send the form in asap, as if we are entitled to this then i hope we qualify for the back to school allowance, and its cut off is 30/9 so i dont want to miss it. itd be an enormous help at the moment.

apply immediately , and its best that 2 weeks are basic wage , due to holidays .

Once you qualify for fis you will automatically qualify for ' back to school clothing/footwear allowance'

Qualifying for FIS does not guarantee automatic qualification for the Back to School Scheme - the applicant must also be below the income limit for the Back to School scheme in order to qualify. FIS isn't taken into account when deciding entitlement for Back to School, just gross salary less PRSI and an amount allowed for travel to work.
