First Active eSaver - adding a payee

Just logged into my First Active eSaver. Wanted to set up a method of transfering to my 'normal' bank account (PTSB current account). Followed the on screen instructions and when I tried to add a bank account held with another institution I was told the facility wasn't available and that I should ring First Active to add the details.

No problem, I can do that on monday but just wondering did anyone else have this problem?

Yes - has to be done over the phone. Only takes a couple of minutes but it is a pain.

That's perfectly normal. No one to my knowledge has been able to do it online yet (to my knowledge). I think the theory is that the card reader will eventually allow you to do it without having to ring them up. If you don't have the card reader yet this should eventually arrive.

Anyway there's virtually no hassle in getting it added by calling FA. I believe it only takes ~< 5 minutes. That's calling them up, answering security questions, providing the relevant details and getting back to your PC to make sure it's added (it takes effect immediately). At least thats with the number I called and provided in the main FA eSavings thread on AAM (yes I know enormous thread but a goldmine of info for anyone dealing with FA eSavings).

Yep, encountered the same myself when I went to add Northern Rock...

Absolutely no problem with customer service on the phone to set it up though. I was informed it'd be available once I logged in again, which it was too. As MysticX said, 5 minutes or less is all it takes.
