We applied to Finance Ireland early June through broker (only option) to get an equity release on current property in effort to raise the 30% deposit for purchasing another property.
Query is: we are waiting 12 weeks now for confirmation of whether we will be approved or not to do this (we had been told it could take 4 weeks). Has anyone got either AIP or refusal recently who could give me a sense of turnaround for applications with FI? Broker said we are in a queue with no hope of begging priority etc. I know everyone is different but any idea would be helpful.
Village we want to buy in has not had much coming up recently but an ideal place is currently listed so we are chomping at the bit to get offering.
