Final Valuation on a New Build

Hi all,

Just wondering what is required to be finished as part of a final valuation on a new build in a development?

As mentioned in another thread we are looking for an extension to our loan offer and may only get a month rather than 6 months. AFAIK the house is basically finished but there has been delays with the groundworks as a crew left and they are now trying to find a replacement so if we get a month's extension this might not be enough. However, do the groundworks have to be completed for the final valuation so that we can drawdown the mortgage?

hi there - did you manage to drawdown? As far as I know you need utilities connected and house to be “habitable”

We got our valuation without any utilities connected and groundworks not fully complete.

From my experience I think the valuation people just tick the boxes.
