I am being made redundant on Wednesday. I am owed 4.5 days holiday pay (approx €600) and pay in lieu until the middle of July (approx €1600 gross). My boss has said the company cannot afford to pay it all now, so I will be getting €1100 at the end of July and the remainder over 5 monthly installments. There is no statutary redundancy payment.
Would anyone know if (i) this is legal and (ii) if it is taxable?
Also, would PRSI stamps be paid until Wednesday (when I finish) or middle of July when I am paid in lieu until.
