I was told by fingal revenue that you can file CGT info on your form 11 as opposed to a CG1 form.
Just out of curiosity nowhere on the form 11 or the CG1 form does it mention 41% tax for EU domiciled ETFs. The figure of 40% is mentioned several times but not in relation to ETFs. This form is very confusing.

Landlord had the same problem myself , asked how I pay the capital gains tax on the ETF's I sold , it's only a few k profit , I was told form 11 , registered for myaccount got a password after a week or so and form was so confusing , rang revenue and they weren't much help , so I'm just keeping the money , if they want it they can contact me. It's possible they fine me but meh. Probably be less than paying an accountant . I reckon 90% of time they will never chase you.

It's in the foreign income section, under "distributions" or "gains" subject to tax under Section 747 or similar.

The CG1 is for capital gains. These are not capital gains...they're income. Nobody should be talking about capital gains in the context of EU domiciled ETFs!
