They pay the statutory compensation which is the same whether your flight was associated with a holiday or not.Compensation for the cancellation of our holiday. Same as if an airline never got you to your destination.
You didn't book a package holiday, you booked a ferry and then decided to cancel all your plans for the sake of 24 hours and a bit.
