Would anybody be able to recommend a fast drying cement or screed that I could use on an area of 8ft x 8ft and 1 ft deep. The area is to be tiled.

LaFarge do a rapid hardening cement called "Ciment Fondu". You mix it with OPC and it is a brilliant product when rightly applied and mixed according to instructions. But fast drying? Never heard of one. Have you tried GOOGLING?
Thanks for info will look it up. I have searched it and BAL do one but it costs 1600 euro for the area that I need. It dries in 24 hours. But I won't be spending that amount of money.
