I live with my partner for the last 25 years. When calculating figures for the farmer's test do I only use half the value of my primary residence as he is entitled to the other half?

Do Revenue accept the house is jointly owned by 2 people or do I need proof?

Thanks for any replies received.

General answer: If you're looking from a tax concession of any type from Revenue then it's always advisable to have proof to support your claim.

Does your partner in fact own half the house? Or are you just assuming that he is entitled to it because he has lived there with you for 25 years?
