does anyone know anything about FIS .. it says when you work as homehelp for HSE it does not count as means.my hours are always changing as clients go in and out of hosiptal or respite so hard to say what hours i work thanks Ttree

if you look it up on citizens information website, there is a sheet that you can calculate what fis you would be entitled to.

Earnings as a home help with HSE do not form part of the means test so it is irrelevant how many hours you work

But if the HSE home help work is the only employment that the OP has, don't they have to work a minimum of 19 hrs pw/38 hrs per fortnight to be eligible for FIS in the first place?

thanks for all replys.. as homehelp is my only job and i dont do enough hours so cant apply.
