Extremely noisy new water pump

We have one and its also very noisy but thankfully is in detached garage so doesnt bother us as much.

Can I ask - slighty different topic if ok - does anyone know whether these water pumps, being switched on 24/7, are hard on electricity?

Do you mean on standby or actively pumping? In most cases these are controlled by a pressure valve with no current flowing unless a tap is opened. When running it'll consume whatever power it's rated at.

Have a similar issue….anyone found a less noisy pump,- salamander or Stuart turner one/anti vibration mat/putting Kingston in the hot press///any other advice ?

We have a Stuart Turner Monsoon in the hot press beside the kids room, never wakes them. Sits on one of these anti-vibration pads and connects via flexi-hoses with a little play.

I’ve a lowera pump and i recently got a new cylinder and high pressure water to all taps etc but the noise is unreal in the hot press…not sure I can stick it !!

Which model do you have? If it's one of the ResiBoost range I note their product literature doesn't even mention noise let alone give a rating!

The Monsoon S2.0 I have produces 52 dB(A) which is in line with a typical fridge.
