Extendable Hedge trimmers

Mrs. hansov wants me to cut the hedges which now are ten foot (3m) tall. I've seen these hedge trimmers on a telescopic pole and was wondering has anybody used them, where do you get them and are they any good? thanks

I used one before, mother bought it, it doesnt give the same leverage as the shorter ones I found, but it wasn't a big job so there was no real problem. I think she go it free in Woodies when she bought something else. If the branches are any way thick I would avoid and get a ladder to get closer to the subject!
