Executor duties when assets appear after estate distributed?

A question re following scenario

Estate finalised and all given out
Comes to light person in family has received rent for land which was part of estate but was not gathered by executer ( didn't realise twas rented)
4000 euro_ not a huge amount!
Others in family not angry or demanding over it

As I said no one is complaining in family.
Rent will now de declared as taxable income by person who got land. Had always been declared by deceased owner.

Could executer have problems over this?

Did you get revenue clearance before distributing estate?

My father was executor to an estate around 15 years ago. All was done and dusted and signed off when an unknown bank account was discovered about 2 years afterwards. Solicitor sorted it out at the time with the tax man and probate office and distributed what was left. It wasn't an issue but took time as it was considered a genuine mistake.

It is a very small amount in relation to the overall value of the estate

As long as this income was also declared as part of the estate, then I don't think I'd be too concerned.

It wasn't included. All income assets etc were included to deceased death but estate took ages to sort and this only came to attention afterwards. As I said it's not a lot and family members don't care.

I suspect so, but I would probably be the same when it comes to official stuff like this.
If there was a solicitor involved in the probate what do they say?

That's kind of done and dusted _ and frankly I'm glad I found it horrible to deal with.

I would never wish to do it again .
I'm a worrier at the best of times!
I suppose I should just put it out of my mind.
