Considering an electric van, want to buy from new, Nissan EV and the Citroen appeal - would be great to hear opinions and suggestions and deals available.

The big things to consider when looking at any EV are do you have somewhere to charge it and does the range suit your needs.

While there are public chargers around and more being installed every day, you do not want to rely on them for every charge. So you need access to a charger either at home or at work. If this is not possible I would not get an EV right now.

Matching the range of the EV to your usecase is also critical. Most of the electric vans do not have huge batteries in them (40-50kWh compared to up to 100kWh in some of the bigger cars) they’re not intended for blasting up and down the motorways every day. If your needs are more like 150km per day it should work well.

This YouTube poster is a bit mad but does lots great of reviews/test of these vehicles, well worth watching for the Nissan/Citroen - https://youtu.be/uuFa1QRc4KU. And here are some from an Irish EV reviewer if you have a few minutes - https://youtu.be/P_FeY1XXpY0, https://youtu.be/R0PumPFFxzQ, https://youtu.be/lJTNjUDPXKw

Thanks Zenith63. I had a Zoe for a while several years ago, range was around 130. Yes the vans significantly lower, its for local trips and leisure use/camping mainly. Great stuff - thanks for the youtube link!! Happy New Year!
