Etf's

Hi,
I would like to allocate a % of My investment to (mainly) food commodoties.I think that ETF'S might be the way to go on this.I have come across a Lxyor ETF Commoditie index that seems to fit the bill.The questions i have are:
(a)In general does an ETF make sense when getting into this area?
(b)Does anyone know much about this one or others?
(c)How do I go about buying this?
(d)This particular fund is owned by Societe De gerenerale.If They go bust do I lose my money.
(e)What is CREST.
This is my first posting so apologies in advance if repeating stuff.
