I'm looking at selling and moving on. Have been talking to estate agents and Sherry Fitz's rates are going up and up. Latest is 1.75% + VAT (Like I can reclaim VAT, why do they quote that?) I haggled hard but they said 1.75 was their floor and they varied from there up to 2%! I tried DNG and Lisney and they seem to be more flexible. Sherry Fitz have our local area (Templeogue) tied up though. Would prefer to use them as I know they're shifting units and have a good list of buyers.
Has anyone been successful in haggling a better rate than these? I was hoping to get someone down to 1% but Sherry Fitz seem not to be interested. Any suggestions/experience?
