I need to get eoy (balance on 31 December) balance statements for my bank accounts to provide for tax purposes. I have attended my local branch on 2 occasions to request these.
On the first occasion they did not fulfil the request.
On the second occasion they sent out a record of all transactions for the years in question but failed to provide the balances on 31 December of each year despite this requirement being explicitly spelled out during the request meeting in branch.
I'd appreciate your advice on how I might go about getting the documents in question. It is not unreasonable to request the closing balance in your accounts on 31 December each year, right? I have done this with other banks & financial institutions no problem at all.
