Thank you, this seems like a good place to start when deciding which supplier to renew with, which for me will be shortlyI saw https://www.energypal.ie/ listed on twitter as a way of analysing your data from ESB Networks once you have a smart meter installed, Doesnt have to be activated.
The HDF is your hourly data file(or half hourly more likely) of usage that your provider should provide for you to download. It's most likely a csv file. What's a HDF file and how does one download it?
Given it's hosted on Retool it's likely an independent developer. It's a bit odd that there are no details about the owners of the site
Owner of the site was on rte prime time. Independent techy that got annoyed with lack of info so built it himself. He is active on a solar panel Facebook group. He got a lot of feedback and testing from that place. Good guy by all accounts. It's a bit odd that there are no details about the owners of the site

Yes you are reading it correctly. And note that 238 is actually slightly less than the standing charge of 241. The reason is that, thanks to your Solar Panels, you are exporting more than you are importing.Am I reading this correctly that it is estimating my total annual charge for electricity could be €238 if I was on the SSE Airtricity plan at the top? If so, I really need to get off this standard plan I'm on that's costing far more....
Thanks AJAM, funny that you should reply now, because through one thing or another, I only got switching my supplier on Saturday. And from when I posted originally, the new suggestion was a plan with Energia for €201 annuallyYes you are reading it correctly. I was in a similar situation last year, with a big gas bill but a credit on the electricity bill. So I switched to an EV and a Heat Pump.
It's a significant investment, but the savings are huge.
