energen training

saw an advert in my local paper advertising courses for building energy rating run by energen. cost of courses is approx €1700 for 7 days, their website [broken link removed] seems to indicate that to become an sei accredited assessor one needs to have sat one of these courses. sei then seem to charge €1000 for the first year and €500 thereafter to register with them. just wondered if any members of aam have done same course. do members think that there would be sufficient work to justify this type of outlay?
