end fixed rate but circumstances changed

Hi, hoping for some advice..
Fixed rate with UB will soon be up, but rates they are offering are not most competitive based on others I've seen. However our circumstances have changed since we first got mortgage; ie husband currently unemployed and studying, and me in part time temporary position. This is my question: Although we have no problem with payments, would I be right in assuming it would be pointless shopping around for better rate as other providers probably wouldn't entertain us given our current circumstances.. if this is the case, will probably go with fixed again with UB..
all opinions welcome; thanks in advance

You're unlikely to get mortgage approval anywhere else so for the moment I'd say you're stuck with Ulster Bank.

Thats what I thought...thanks for your reply anyway
