I am involved in a small restaurant business. We had intended to come off the EWSS when indoor dining resumed as the criteria for the scheme ( July 2021 to Dec 2021) is that the business is expected to be down 30% for the 12 month period versus 2019. We believed if we were fully open we would not meet this criteria. Our takeout did quite well for the first six months and overall we are down about 35% year to date versus 2019. As we have no firm date for reopening would you continue to claim the EWSS until such time as the government clarify the situation. As a takeout we will meet the criteria for the scheme but if we are allowed open we wont meet the criteria. Any comments appreciated.

If you're down at least 30% for Jan-Jun 2021 compared to Jan-Jun 2019 then you should continue to claim. Do the same test for Jan-Jul and if you are not down 30% then deregister
