I'm working in a shop for the last 3 months but I'm still paying emergency tax. I went to the tax office about it 2 months and they had to put me on the system as working even though I had given a previous P45 when I started there. A few weeks later and still being emergency taxed. Went back to the tax office today and they said that the employer has not replied to the letter they have sent out.
What can I do about this? I reckon my employer is delibrately not replying to the letter for some reason? Also I thought the previous P45 would have covered me from emergency tax(if it was send back to the tax office)?
