If somebody has paid alot of emergency tax for 2012 and they have a large tax bill for 2011 when they were self employed is there any way to transfer the emergency tax to 2011. They wont get paid again until end of month but prelim tax is due next week.
No provision for offset of emergency tax, can you have your credits and standard rate cut off assigned to your employment and get the refund through payroll in November. You refer to preliminary tax for 2012 are you self employed in 2012?
