Hi
If you buy electrical appliance to replace an existing one is the company you buy the electrical appliance from legally obliged to take the old one from you and dispose of it for you ?

Does the same apply to small electrical items like toasters, kettles, microwaves, kettles, irons etc.

What situation if you buy items like these or bigger ones from places like argos ?

Thanks

If you're getting larger appliances from the likes of Argos, they will collect the old appliance when they deliver the new one. Just tell them when ordering so they are aware.

Yes, any electrical appliance, just bring the old one along when you're buying the new one and they'll take it (they have to, if the person at the counter says they don't ask to speak to somebody else).
