We have just built a new house and have a huge window in our living room. It goes up into a sharp point so we will probably need something custom made for it. Does anyone know a supplier of electric blinds at a reasonable cost?
We are also looking for a supplier of wooden blinds for the rest of the house that won't rip us off.
What do you require in an electric blind. Have you pre-wired for same?Do you require remote control.where aree you located? I may be able to adviseyou.
Blinds can vary hugely, im looking for some myself. My wife had been taking sales calls from one sales-woman from Sanderson, she came to the house last wkd.
Have 23 windows, 3 french doors and 7 velux windows. Picked out a wooden blind, (which happened to be one the cheapest they had) - told her to give me a quote.
About 1.5hrs later she had it all figured out - wait for it.
37.5k for all blinds, and out of her kindness she said she would knock off 40% making it 22k  approx. A bit ridiculous considering that the all windows including the velux, 3 french doors & back door set me back about 15.5k.
Would anyone justify it by buying blinds thats worth more than the windows themselves!? So be careful puddy cat - their truely is some con people out there.
flaming Nora, that is dear, they have been hounding me lately to buy off them but definitely won't be getting them now, won't even look into them. Obviously way over priced and putting the costs up during the sale so it sounds like it is on sale when they bring the price down for you (as a favour!!), oldest trick in the book. This cat is gone!!
Check the date as to when the prices were given (2007). Things have changed considerably since those prices and the lunacy that prevailed at those times. Sanderson are a great make maybe even the best, but it doesn't allow for anyone to be ripped off. You should contact at this date 02/09 and I would say their prices are considerably less.
