I moved back to eir for broadband as I have them for mobile. Now get the 4 mobiles for 9.99 each per month with the BB for 35 euro. Their customer service is pretty good, huge improvement on what it was 3 years ago. Service on a par with VF but VF prices are off the wall.eir services are total rubbish, last week I decided I had enough of this miserable company! never again!
Are they increasing bonuses after reporting a drop in earnings resulting from increasing costs?Or is it just the directors' bonuses and the shareholders dividend.
Just wondering if the mobiles will be going up in April or is it just the BB??now get the 4 mobiles for 9.99 each per month with the BB for 35 euro.
To be fair, stating up front the the annual increase is a flat €4 is a lot more transparent to most punters than telling them that it will be CPI+x% even if it the former ends up being greater.Worth noting that eir have now given up the fig leaf of cpi + x% which they previously used to give an air of reasonableness to their price gouging, and are now going flat out.
Think just the bb. I was on the 9.99 offer 2 years ago. I got in before 5th Feb for yhe bb so increase a bit less for me.ust wondering if the mobiles will be going up in April or is it just the BB??
Yeah it seems according to Eir you're getting a €10 discount off their mobile plansThink just the bb. I was on the 9.99 offer 2 years ago. I got in before 5th Feb for yhe bb so increase a bit less for me.
They've been reporting increasing costs well in advance of that storm.I guess the high cost of repairing recent storm damage is going to be passed on in some fashion. No different than electricity.
Just got an email from Eir. Broadband increasing by €6 per month, Mobile SIM Only increasing by €2.50 per month. I had 3 mobiles in the bundle so this is an increase of €13.50 per month for me!Just wondering if the mobiles will be going up in April or is it just the BB??
I am in the same boat, just checked the broadband contract and it is quoting the price increase as CPI plus 3%, given the price change has moved away from CPI model to fixed price of EUR6 which is well above current CPI plus 3% , could this be argued as a contract change on their side providing an opportunity to cancel? Secondly the mobile sim only contract is only 30 days so hoping to see if I can renegotiate that element back down.Just got an email from Eir. They said in my letter I can cancel the contract up to 17th April. I only signed up at end of January. But they are still the best value for me with 4 mobiles and bb.I am in the same boat, just checked the broadband contract and it is quoting the price increase as CPI plus 3%, given the price change has moved away from CPI model to fixed price of EUR6 which is well above current CPI plus 3% , could this be argued as a contract change on their side providing an opportunity to cancel?
Maybe it's the case that the contract that you are currently on uses the CPI based price increase and you are not yet signed up to one that uses the fixed price increase? What do the terms and conditions of the contract that you are currently on say about how price increases are applied?I am in the same boat, just checked the broadband contract and it is quoting the price increase as CPI plus 3%, given the price change has moved away from CPI model to fixed price of EUR6 which is well above current CPI plus 3% , could this be argued as a contract change on their side providing an opportunity to cancel?
What do you mean by this?Secondly the mobile sim only contract is only 30 days so hoping to see if I can renegotiate that element back down.
Were they cheaper ?cancelled and moved to another supplier
They are putting everyone on the fixed increase contract, but giving you the option to cancel your existing contract without a break fee.
Are you sure that that's what this means? They are only offering the option to cancel to those who join or recontract after 6th Feb 2025.
Do these increases mean I can cancel my contract?
These changes are built into your contract with eir, if you join eir or recontract after the 6th of February 2025 so these increases would not allow you to cancel your services within a minimum term contract without incurring early cease charges.
Nope , I joined in Jan with the cpi increase contract but got a email this week moving me to the fixed increase contract with option to cancel if I don't want it.They are only offering the option to cancel to those who join or recontract after 6th Feb 2025.
