They did but my bill increased a lot more than 8%.Didn't they explain all this last year when they flagged its introduction?

Which is in line with this? Bold emphasis is mine. They did but my bill increased a lot more than 8%.
You will also see an annual increase in your monthly price plan (excluding any discounts) each April from April 2024, based on the annual Consumer Price Index (CPI) plus 3%.
My point is that this is disingenuous. The price agreed is the price agreed. For example, their standard price could be 1000 eur per month but offer a 90% discount, the advertised price will be as 100 per month. Any increase should be in line with contract price. In reality it's 17% increase.Which is in line with this? Bold emphasis is mine.
I don't see the confusion. The "excluding discounts" bit surely explains it?My point is that this is disingenuous. The price agreed is the price agreed. For example, their standard price could be 1000 eur per month but offer a 90% discount, the advertised price will be as 100 per month. Any increase should be in line with contract price. In reality it's 17% increase.
It shouldn't be allowed that service providers increase charges in line with their clearly stated policy? Good luck complaining to ComReg on that front. There's no confusion, I understand. My point is, this shouldn't be allowed.
I would agree, when I read it first I thought this smacked of something like the "only upward rent review contracts" of yester year. There's no confusion, I understand. My point is, this shouldn't be allowed.
