This seems to be specific to your case, we have been quoted circa 2.5k to "switch" to this rate.Hi All,
Apologies if this has already been posted. I see EBS has cut it's fixed rate from 3.0% to 2.9%.
I just called EBS there and they checked with the Loans department. I had fixed at 3.0% for 1 year in July of this year. They have just confirmed to me there will be no breakage fee for me to switch to 2.9%.
Just wanted to let you guys know. The process is a form has to be completed and signed and sent or dropped into EBS branch.
What is the balance on your mortgage?yep rang this morning 4 years left on a 3.0% fixed and was quoted 3.5k to break internally and go to 2.9%, no thanks.
They really do go out of their way to make things difficult for their so called customers.
