Picked up a brochure on easycare credit at the dentist where you can spread the cost of medical treatment with a payment plan. They pay the dentist directly so you dont have to pay a cash up front

Sounds like a good idea and seems to be less hassle than going to the bank .

They have a website easycare.ie

Has anyone else heard of them ?

Their website quotes a 'typical' apr of 9.9% per month. This is almost certainly higher than you would pay with a bank or credit union. Why is this less hassle than going to your bank?

My bank quoted me 9.8% for a secured loan where as Easycare is unsecured at 9.9%. If you look at the rates in the Irish Times they are all quoting 9.8 - 9.9%.Also dont have to go and explain why I need the loan

That seems extraordinarily high for a secured loan.
In fact it's high for an unsecured loan.

THe banks generally aren't too worried about what you are using the loan for either, unless the amounts involved are very large. You can apply online for many banks - so you don't have to go to the branch at all.
