dvd - ntsc and hackable

Every dvd player I look up has only some of the specs I need.

I am looking for a a dvd player that can playback NTSC dvd's and is hackable.

Anyone name a dvd player like this?

Hi S,
I presume you mean Region 1 DVD's which are NTSC. All you need to do is buy a multi region player which you can get in power city, peats and other places and away you go. If this doesnt have the spec's you need then you can search on the net anyway!

Might you not still need an NTSC capable telly even if the DVD player can cope with NTSC discs? I know that this is the case with many NTSC compatible VCRs.
 
yes that's what I thought ClubMan. But it seems that a dvd player can rejig the signal for a non NTSC tv.

I have since had one recommended to me.
It's a philips dvp something. You can get it in xtravision for about €80 - and it has all that 'stuff'
