Dual-Sim Mobile Phone - experiences?

I'm looking to combine my personal & work mobile phones - must have both SIM's on-line at the same time. Ideally with email & some PDA functionality. I've googled & found some Chinese models but would like to hear of experiences of anyone who has gone down this route. Interested in build quality, call reception, reliability etc.

Any info, do's & dont's appreciated.
 
Do any of the operators offer dual sim? The easy part is probably finding a phone that will provide the functinality.

Some colleagues attempted to use them when I worked in Oz but found it very frustrating...they reverted to having two phones in the end...From my recollection, they had to remember to enter a code in order to switch to either the work or personal 'number'/'mode'. I guess like anything it just takes getting used to.
 
Not really answering your query but here goes anyway.

I carried two phones about for a while but felt like a complete tosser. Eventually, the work one was upgraded to a Blackberry through which I could access e-mails. For some reason I can't explain, it's not as bad carrying two implements around if they serve different purposes.
 
I have a sim splitter and it works for me. You just switch off and then on to change numbers. Recently I tried one of those double sims that automatically switch over every seven seconds ....... except that it didn't. So, back to the old tried and trusted.
 
AFAIK there is no device that will have both numbers on line at the same time.
Why not just divert one to the other number?

Presumably because this would cost a good bit if there are a lot of calls. And the OP probably wants to make personal calls on the personal SIM and business calls on the work SIM.

Two phones sounds like the best option.
 
Thanks for the replies so far. Don't want to divert one to the other due to costs + I haven't found a way to divert text messages.
I was looking at [broken link removed], but wondering about their quality.
