Draining a broken dishwasher

Dishwasher is blowing the mains fuse and I want to stop using it. I've had it looked at by a repair man twice but its just a bad design and water drips onto the electrics.

The dishwasher is half full of water now and I don't want to plug it back in. How do I drain it?

Tedious as it sound can you not just scoop out most of the water cup by cup or with some other vessel. Then perhaps plug in to try and drain the last bit or leave in it until new one arrives.

Plugging it back in will trip the switch. Its integrated and I have no plans to buy a new one so I can't just dump it. Might be a few years before the new one arrives :-(

I might have to just scoop it out, gross. Thanks for the replies.

if you are not going to use it, the waste pipe, will if not capped off eventually smell. why dont you take it out and replace it with a 600mm press and re-use the int door.

That all costs money. The waste pipe seems to go into the pipe under the kitchen sink? Will that still smell?
