Double oven next to hob

Hello,

Installing a double oven in a long press, with a hob next to it. Is there any restriction in placing the hob as the next appliance to the side of the double oven - is there a minimum distance between these two appliances?
 
We have two ovens under a hob! We were never advised of any restrictions regarding distance between appliances.
 
From a good design perspective, I believe you should have space immediately beside the oven(s) where you can place (hot) items removed.
 
Look at the spec sheets for the hob you intend to buy, it will specify the minimum distances that must be kept clear above and to the side of the hob surface.

If you are thinking of placing the hob next to eye level oven, it may not be so bad if it's an electric hob, but if gas, you may have to consider adding tempered glass or stainless steel to side of tall unit. Flames will lick out from under saucepan towards side of unit. If there's an alternative go with that.
