Donaghmede (Priory Hall)

Re: Buying in Donaghmede area (Priory Hall)

I have heard of it happening before, that's why i asked. I seriously doubt these cowboys would be that silly though!

We are in the north block which started first but as you say they both look about the same from the outside now. Nearly tempted to sneak in one night and check out the inside but i'm afraid i'd be taking my life in my hand with their record on safety!

Has anyone found out who the maintenance company will be? Can't wait to hear that one, they will probably hire criminals to do our maintenance as their community service!

Re: Buying in Donaghmede area (Priory Hall)

I haven't a clue about the management company, it probably isn't decided yet.

Yeh i was thinking of trying to get into the site some day as well. The last time i was up there the builder almost let me in i think. I was wearing very girlie shoes though so when he saw them he said no way! Once they have the outside finished and start working on the inside i'm sure they'll open it up a bit.

Re: Buying in Donaghmede area (Priory Hall)

Btw wolrabp, just looked at that site neighbours.ie it looks like a good idea. Can anyone set up a development on it?

Re: Buying in Donaghmede area (Priory Hall)

Yeah as far as i know they can, i put in a request for them to put up a link for Priory Hall. Maybe they only consider it if they receive enough requests?

Would be good to have a common place for residents to organise the termination (Arnie Style) of mangement companies and the like!

Re: Buying in Donaghmede area (Priory Hall)

Apparently the completion date has been pushed to November, i'll believe it when i see it, i also heard that some of the second phase apartments are going for 390000, a pretty penny!

Re: Buying in Donaghmede area (Priory Hall)

I don't expect to be in before Christmas!
Some of the second phase were over 400. The prices for the remaining units are on the HOK website.

Re: Buying in Donaghmede area (Priory Hall)

Please keep discussion of Priory Hall general, i.e. not on completion dates, snagging etc. but on the area itself.

is more suitable for that sort of chat.

Re: Buying in Donaghmede area (Priory Hall)

Phoned up the other day and was told that the North Block (block 9-2) in Priory Hall was due for snagging in approximately 4-6 weeks....... has anyone else been told same. Driving past it certainly would not give me that impression. Any info on same would greatly be appreciated.

Hi we have been waiting a long time for the project to be completed so i would not recommend Priory Hall as a develeopment to purchase as originally we were advised the completion would be April 06 then June then August - we have ended our lease now as we were advised definately by the end of January only if not before Christmas 06 to find out yesterday that it'may be' end of March 07 now - As for Donaghmede area it is close enough to town and amenities which is great. The prices are very reasonable for the development but only if you are prepared to wait - i would recommend checking other developments in the area such as in Clare Hall due to the ongoing delays with Priory Hall

Hi,

I could be wrong here , but I'm pretty certain that Coalport featured on a recent Prime Time special on the housing market over the sub standard condition they left one of there developments in. I think it was in Laois.

get on the the neighbours.ie website, there's a good load of soon-to-be residents on there if you need any info......that bloke (Shaunsy) asked the question last May so i don't think anybody can be of help to him now
