Hi,
We bought a house as an investment last year and we are starting to get ready to do a tax return at the end of this year for 2 years as we now have to because of this property.
Is there a list please of what you can offset against the rental income,ie white goods, flooring, hardware etc, is it on a government or information website please, thanks Loughshinny
Might be worth starting with the Property Investment FAQ and [broken link removed] (the latter includes details of the sorts of stuff that can be claimed for). If in doubt about how to make your return get an accountant on the case.
Hi Clubman, thanks for the prompt reply, that revenue site is exactly what I am looking for, also had a look at the faq's and they are most helpful too. Thanks again.Loughshinny
