Does the Landlord need to supply a Gas safety Certificate for a new tenant in a house or is it not a requirement in Ireland. Many thanks for your answers.

A landlord is legally required to maintain all gas appliances/equipment in good order.

A current Declaration of Conformance certificate for an IS.813 Annex E inspection issued by a Registered Gas Installer for the gas installation in the house or apartment will prove compliance with the regulations.

Thank you Facetious, It appears that the fire in a 3 bed house hasn't been used in years and Bord Gais wouldn't make any arrangements to connect the supply for us without confirmation that the appliance has been maintained. I will head back to the landlord and ask him to do the necessary. Thank you for the information, it helps me go back to the landlord with the exact details.
