I wonder how many vacant properties is the Fair Deal scheme creating?
As someone who is looking to buy a house I am seeing mainly executors sale properties coming up around the city. Many of these have been left vacant for many years as the previous owner has spent the last few years of their lives in a nursing home. In one small area I have seen 4 properties that are now on the market after been vacant for a number of years, I'm sure there are many more that are vacant but with their owner still in nursing care.
