Spread sheet question,
Does anyone know how I can put percentages beside raw figures on a spreadsheet, i.e. is the same cell?
highlight cells
main menu click 'format'
select 'cells...'
select 'percentage' under the number tab
click ok
Ah, I thought you meant the symbol % when you said 'percentages'
So is it a formula you want then?
Concatenate them as strings, eg;
=A1 & " " & A2
say for example you have 21 in cell [A1]and you want it as a % of 150:
type in cell A2: =a1/150. Then right click on cell A2 and change format to %
then you'd put these figures into another column and reference them accordingly.What if you want to use a different number every time.
Because I don't have a complete understanding of what it is you're trying to do.And if the problem is so basic wy have inot got a better answer than replace the number every time.

A spreadsheet course might still be a good idea for future work you might have to do.
