Hey all,
So like I've said in other posts, I'm renovating a house. Heres another question for you all!
Do I need planning permission to move my front door(well its really at the side) to the front of the house?

Technically, Yes.
 
well... Yes....

what you are doing is not exempt from permission, so technically, yes.

But i wouldnt advise otherwise on a public forum...
 
if you're up a mountain you should be ok. If you have neighbours who may taken exception to the change you may need to go the 'official' route.
 
Where the Planning Permission will really come into play is if you wish to sell your property, as vendors probalby will look for planning matters to be in order. One suggestion is to request a pre-planning meeting with the local planners to see their thinking on your proposal.
 
Thanks evryone! I would have thought I needed it all right but I would have loved to be wrong to save the hassle!
