do i have to pay preliminary tax for 2012

I set up business in April 2011 as self employed individual. So I have made my accounts for 04/11 - 12/11

By this Oct 31st says I have to pay tax for 2011 and preliminary for 2012.

My question can I only pay my 2011 taxes now, as I can't afford to submit anything on preliminary taxes for 2012?

There is no such thing as a simple yes or no answer when it comes to tax.

Shortest answer I can think of: You are obliged to pay 2012 preliminary tax by 31/10/12. If you don't pay, or can't afford to pay, Revenue may charge you interest on late payment.
