Am not disputing that I owe money here but was not satisfied with service rec'd and don't agree with breakdown of charges.
My specifications when I engaged this person's services were pretty much ignored - tho' I admit I was swept along for a while by their enthusiasm to go in a slightly different direction.
Now I have an invoice giving hours spent on the project but that I'm being charged a discounted (hourly) rate. Even so, it's quite a sum to be paying when none of the work will be implemented - I have reverted to original spec with help of family members.
My objections include the fact some of these hours were spent 'off topic' even if work produced may look impressive. Also I have discovered some legislation that may apply to my situation (not yet investigated) that was not taken into account by this person. The person is aware of these objections, as I raised them in a discussion before the invoice was prepared.
Just wondering what approach to take when disputing charges.
