When my extension was built the plumber left what I can only describe as an L shaped up-pipe for the dishwasher drain.
This is basically an L shape with the bottom of the L going outside to a drain & the top of the L there for my dishwasher drain hose.
Problem is I can't fit the dishwasher fully in with this L shaped hose there.
Is there any reason why I can't reverse the L with the long side of the L being outside & the short part of the L being higher up off the ground for my dishwasher drain hose to go into.
Before anyone suggests it I cut this right down on my last dishwasher but what happened was all the water just drained off too early & fried the electronic sensors (thankfully it was still under warranty & was replaced without any mention of the dodgy plumbing).
The drain hose needs to be higher so water can only escape by being pumped.
