Hi all, I have recieved planning for driveway in front of house and have completed works on it. The council were out today to price their work of concreting the grass margin out front (dishing). Outside our front wall is a footpath, a grass margin and then the road. The council have given a price of 1200 euro for a 20 square metre, which is correct price for this size, but this takes into account the footpath replacement too. I want the area between the footpath and the road done only (approx 10sqm) as the footpath already is angled toward the road. The footpath is badly patched up by the council alright over the years but should I pay to fix there mess or is it the norm to pay for this too? thanks in advance
If they re-quote for 10sq m, it won't necessarily be 600 they look for.....the smaller the job, the bigger the cost per sq m.
That, and the fact that it might look awful with a new dished section, old broken path, and then your new drive...........me?........I think 1200 isn't a big amount to have a single, new piece to match your new drive. It'll look 100% better.
