Disability allowance

Hi guys, i made a claim for DA about 6 weeks ago, i had a foot injury November 2007, after many visits to the doctor, hospital, physio etc, still having pain and decided to claim disability benefit, i had letter from longford to attend medical review board 2 weeks ago and still awaiting decision from that visit. Can anyone tell me if i am awarded DA will it be back dated to Nov 2007 or when i made claim ?

Not sure which payment you are claiming as you mention both Disability Allowance and Disability Benefit. Either way if your claim is allowed it will be paid from the date on which the SW receives your claim.

Are you out of work at present with the foot problem?

yes i am currently not working due to foot problem
