Hi all,

My sister in law has a digital radio that she listen to a brilliant 80s radio station on - she and my brother in law got it as a present. I'd love to buy one for the kitchen, no idea how expensive they are though. Any ideas where I could buy one (not online)?

thanks,

M

Usual places: Peats, Dixons, Argos, Power City.

Not all areas cab receive Digital Radio also known as 'DAB' - check first.

op- are u sure its not an internet (wifi) radio such as the logic ir100 sold in dixons/currys until recently or others in argos? Then u would get any 80's channel anywhere in the world..but u need a wireless network. Though some accept a direct ethernet connection. About eur100 to 150. And it gets all the bbc channels obviously as its from the net. Looks like any kitchen radio and computer does not need to b on.

Thanks Technologist, how do I go about finding out whether we're covered or not?

M
Best bet would be to borrow one that works and try it. The signals come from Three Rock (Dublin) and Claremont Cairn (Dundalk). BBC is out of the question unless you're near the border. But, check in case it's a WiFi radio, in which case you'll need to have broadband at home.

Oh right, thanks - not really sure then what I'm after, my sister in law just called it a digital radio? Will look into it a bit more so - thanks guys.
